Privacy policy

Policeman for macOS, by BRIMIND. Last updated: 21 October 2026.

In short

Policeman collects no data. Everything it checks stays on your Mac. BRIMIND does not receive, store, sell or share anything about you or your use of the app.

What the app does on your Mac

Network extensionOnce you turn on “Guard this Mac”, a macOS network extension passes outgoing HTTPS connections. Connections to the AI model APIs on the app's list are opened and checked on your Mac. Every other connection passes through untouched and is never read.
What is checkedRequests to those AI APIs, for secrets (API keys, tokens, card numbers, IBANs, passwords) and personal data (email addresses, phone numbers), and replies, for dangerous commands. Your rules decide whether each finding is logged, removed or stopped.
What is storedA local log of findings, counters and your settings, in the app's own container on your Mac. You can delete it at any time by removing the app.
CertificateThe app creates a certificate authority on your Mac, limited to the AI API hosts, so it can read those requests. The private key never leaves your Mac.
What leaves your MacNothing goes to BRIMIND. Your AI requests continue to the AI provider you chose, with secrets removed if your rules say so.

Not collected

No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reports sent to us, and no third-party SDKs.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
